略歴

平成6年大阪大学基礎工学部情報工学科卒業.平成8年大阪大学大学院基礎工学研究科博士前期課程修了.平成10年大阪大学大学院基礎工学研究科博士後期課程修了(短縮修了).博士(工学).平成8年より日本学術振興会特別研究員(DC1・PD).平成11年より大阪大学での研究教育に従事し,平成11年大学院基礎工学研究科助手,平成19年大学院情報科学研究科准教授を経て令和3年より教授.サイバーフィジカルシステム,モバイルコンピューティングに関する研究に従事.平成19年情報処理学会長尾真記念特別賞,平成22年情報処理学会創立50周年記念論文賞,平成26・30年情報処理学会論文賞,平成16・24・28年電気通信普及財団テレコムシステム技術賞など.平成30年度科学技術分野の文部科学大臣表彰(研究部門).株式会社HULIX共同創業者・取締役兼任.

研究テーマ

モバイル・パーベイシブコンピューティングで総称される技術の研究開発に従事しています.例えば,LiDARや動画像,様々なセンサを用いた人間行動のセンシングや状況理解,地域IoT,シミュレーション,モビリティモデリング,プライバシ保護センシングやデータ処理技術,エッジコンピューティング,ミドルウェア,分散システム,無線通信最適化などの研究を行うとともに,それらを総合的に活用し,Society5.0に代表される次世代のサイバーフィジカルシステムを構成するためのシステム設計論を探究しています.主な応用先はスマートシティやスマートリビング(高度交通システム,人流制御,スマートビルディング,スマートホーム,災害時行動支援など)です.

ビッグデータを活用し,人々の位置や移動,行動変容外部要因をモデル化します.それらをシミュレーションで紐解くことにより,例えば混雑を避け安全安心を実現する行動変容技術を探究します.
